Linking Single Sign-On (SSO)/Institutional Login Account with RefWorks Account

This one-time process is required to be completed by user when the institution changes the SSO configuration due to a server change or migration. 

Existing RefWorks accounts can be linked to SSO credentials at any time. 

Linking steps:

1. On the RefWorks login page, click on "Use login from my institution"
2. Scroll through the list, or search for institution name

3. Click on institution name

4. Type in account email
5. Depending on whether RefWorks account is set up, choose one option:
   1. New user: RefWorks automatically creates a RefWorks account, and links institution's SSO key; authentication is complete
   2. Existing user, RefWorks automatically sends and email to the email address entered
      1. In the email click the link to reassociate login credentials.
      2. Automatic redirection to RefWorks page authentication is complete
